It seems like unlike the recently rebooted Modern Warfare series, the Black Ops line is growing less relevant with every release.Ĭase in point: the first 2 games tied up both the present and past storylines neatly, and had terrific multiplayer experiences for the time. The latest installment, Black Ops Cold War, sounds like a mouthful and is generally considered a milking out of the tired Cold War storyline. While other major AAA franchises like Assassin’s Creed have abandoned their habit of annualized releases, Call of Duty soldiers on. Update: I did another fresh install, my fourth, and it worked today, tested it 3 times to make sure it launched the game and loaded it, worked every time so far.Another year, another Call of Duty. This is frustrating because I had no such issues with the beta version of the game. It’s ridiculous that Activision does not have any sort of contact for this kind of issue through their website whereas Ubisoft was able to help me with Assassin’s Creed Valhalla immediately. I’ve posted on the Activision support forum (all replies were people with the similar issue) I’ve tried running the blizzard repair and scan. I’ve tried googling this issue only to find a similar problem with past black ops and no comments on the posts. I’ve tried only installing the multiplayer. I’ve updated all drivers if one was available.

I saw a post earlier on this, but I just wanted to try and bring more attention to this.Īfter launching the game it plays the intro and checks for files which results in the game crashing to desktop. Solved: issue was WeMod running in the background.
